Daily Deprogramming

Since we have had no Daily Devotional’s by Ardith Keef for two days now, I decided to find an old one at random which I haven’t rebutted.  This one is in full  from August 1, 2007.  (This was written last summer when Ardith put Protection From Harrassment papers against us.)  We voluntarily stopped writing for 10 weeks until we went to court.  So didn’t rebut any Daily Devotionals from July 24, 2007 until October 5, 2007.

Ardith said, “There are many who have been born again, but there are not many  who actually know the power God imparts through the Indwelling Holy spirit.  Obedience makes way for the Holy Spirit - The Spirit of God’s Holiness.  He gives power to witness, power to resist temptation, and power to love.  But all release of the Holy Spirit into the common function of the Believers life, depends on obedience to God’s Word.  There is no way around it, and there are no alterations. It is the way He has set it up.”

It seems to me that when someone is a Christian  “teacher” and demands of  others to “obey” the Word of God, they themselves ought to obey it.  Otherwise one is a hypocrit and a false shepherd.  If someone has been married to 3 Christian men (all of whom are still alive)  and continues to think it’s ok to do this and continue on  as a leader, they are off the mark.  When we get off the mark , even if we know all kinds of spiritual truths,  we continue to move away from the center.  We become deceived and then it becomes ”normal behavior” to sin in these areas.  It for some reason seems perfectly ok (for instance) to help Christian people divorce each other for no Biblical reasons, when in reality it is totally against the Word of God.

One of the symptoms of a cult is that the leaders think they have a license to do what others may not do:  They think they have the right to decide who can go before the elders with problems, denying  God’s people the provisions and avenues to settle disputes God has provided them with.  Case in point:  The leaders of Anchor Missionary Fellowship  think they have a right to take other believers to court rather than doing things Gods way, which is reasoning together.  They talk the talk, but in reality don’t walk the walk themselves.  They tell their subjects “Christians have no rights” while they give themselves  many rights that are against the Word of God. 

Cult leaders tell others “You must obey” while they disobey and twist  the Word of God themselves.  They think if someone questions , criticizes,  or confronts the leaders, the person is  reprobate and deserving  of being cast out, slandered and shunned. This is not how our Great shepherd treats His sheep, and He abhors this kind of treatment by His undershepherds. 

True leaders with nothing to be ashamed of welcome questions and criticisms humbly and gladly examine themselves when they are confronted with their own  human weaknesses.  True shepherds love His little sheep .  They nurture, feed, comfort,  tend, and  are tenderly  compassionate toward them.  They do not have favorites and abuse and neglect  others. They leave them all to go after the one who is lost.   Leaders who are true to their Lord, are kind and loving and tremble before the Great Shepherd in their treatment of His Own. 

If forced obedience was truly “God’s way”, what would be the need of the Blood of Jesus?  What would be the need of the Great High Priest Who continually intercedes for us sinners?   No,  the doctrine of forced obedience is merely a tool  for the Cult leaders to use to keep their subjects under their control. It isn’t even obedience to God at all!  It’s obedience to the leaders!  It’s obedience to rules and laws made up and twisted into God’s Word, to keep you under control! To bow to them is idolatry, plain and simple. 

When you are deceived and caught in the snare of cultish abusive systems, you lose your conscience and your spiritual equilibriam.   You cannot hear the Holy Spirit’s  pleadings  and nudges.  You cannot love unconditionally,  you are like a ship without a sail, but you think by following the  forced “spiritual” rules of the leader, you are following and “obeying” God.  Instead you give yourself over to the leaders demands.  

Instead of dependence upon God you depend on your  cult guru for guidance, and they are just as lost as you are. It’s like using a compass without a sail.  Even worse because at least the compass shows true North and you know which direction you have swung around to.  The cult guru’s perspective is off, and you don’t know where you are, only where they tell you you are.  If they can get you to believe them, you think you are A-OK , when you  actually are as far away from His Truth as you can be.

Jesus said we are under the “Law of Love.”  He said to “Love the Lord your God with your whole heart, soul, mind and strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself.”  We as His children who have experienced His incredible Love for ourselves, who have been Born Again into His Kingdom, “Love Him because He first loved us.”  When we realize all He has done for us we desire wholeheartedly to please Him  and obey His Word in turn that Love He has poured into our hearts, pours out of us onto others. We do not need false shepherds telling us we “Must obey!” , putting us under law.  We are  drawn to obedience by His incredible Love!   The Holy Spirit is our Teacher, our Guide,  our Comforter and He will convict and chasten us as we need it, with Love.  “It is the way He has set it up.” 

Test the spirit friend, examine the fruit.  It is the only way to know if you are deceived.  Don’t believe something just because the one who says it appears to be very wise, very spiritual, or knows a lot about scripture.  Satan is the great deceiver!   He knows full well how to sound for all the world like he is for real. All he needs is a person who thinks themself very wise in spiritual matters,  charismatic and filled with themself.  Someone  who arrogantly trusts in their own wisdom ,who could never believe they could be deceived.  Then all he needs is a nieve eager beaver who wants the Lord……

Ardith Keef’s Daily Devotional today begins with, “Do not catch the falling Ark.”   She say’s “The Ark is a picture of the Body of Christ. Many would rush in and consider the thing before their eyes to preempt any other instruction.” 

This could mean that someone is trying to  make some changes for the good of the church. Perhaps some elder has stepped out of line ,and is actually stepping up to the plate, and Ardith doesn’t like him anywhere except for using him to obey her directives.  I have seen this kind of talk lots of times from Ardith before.  I remember when she said of her ex husband /pastor, with such spiritual fervor, ”We can’t touch the fringe of his garment!” and :”Remember how David wouldn’t touch the hem of Saul’s garb when he found him in a compromising position.” 

Then she lowered the boom on the poor guy and nearly  destroyed him, ruined his reputation, had him defrocked, slandered his name, divided him from his family,  and had him shunned as reprobate by the whole church!  Then if that wasn’t enough, the whole church or what was left after the fiasco, prayed for the poor man’s death!  He lives a productive life  today, holds down the same university position, and is well at 78 years of age.  Now theres a victory!

When a cult leader wants you to “back off” and leave their territory alone ,there are plenty of scriptures that will back them up by their taking them out of context. It is done all the time to control people. Whatever the case, the old “Ark” story has been used by Ardith before, and  by plenty of  other cult leaders.  What could scare a person and keep them in line more then the terror of being struck dead by Almighty God Himself in an instant?  In fact I can’t think of any fear tactics more suited to keeping a deceived Christian who loves God, in line.  

The “warning”  comes from Jesus words today,  ”Feed My little sheep.”   Cult leaders (wolves in sheeps clothing) enslave,  covet, neglect, starve, manipulate, control, deceive, maim and butcher His little sheep.  This IS the “Body of Christ.”  It’s not a picture of it!  These little sheep are His Own.  There will be a day of reckoning before the King of Kings and the Great Shepherd one day.  All through His Holy Word , He warned the False Shepherds of their abuse of His little ones.  Hurting His little sheep is the same as touching the pupil of His eye.

The members of a cult are nothing more to the cult leader then a game piece.  The  church guru needs control and the members are the controlled.   The cult leader who leads a so-called “christian church” plays church at the expence of the hearts, minds, and souls of their little pawns.   The leader plays God, and the poor victims go where they’re told.  Around and around the board.  They don’t find God through the cult leader, but God can and does find and reach  the heart that wants Him eventually.

Like a game piece when the leader  says “move”  the eager little piece says, “how far?”  When the cult leader says, “look up and move on” the little game piece answers “whatever you say.”   Around and around the game board to nowhere they go.   It matters not that the leader doesn’t obey her own rules, but “you must obey”.  

“Most ” cult members “are in silent misery.”  They have been so deceived by the false shepherds and cult leaders that they can’t believe Jesus could be anywhere else  but where their leader is!  They can’t believe there is any other “church” as elite and close to God as theirs.  They have checked out their brains at the door of the group and follow a  cleverly designed doctrine of demons.

Again today Ardith Keef controls her little game pieces with the very common  cult phrases, “Soldier of the Cross there is much, much to do.” and “get busy. “, and a few “You  may not’s.”  Then she throws  an emotional  and spiritual lure into the mix with pleasant spiritual words and stirs it all up. Today Ardith Keef says, “Your life is secure and you are in the assurance of the Everlasting Arms.”  What it really says to the game piece is “You are secure with me. Let me be in control. As long as you do this you’ll be ok.”

And around and around  on her game board you go.  “You may not” question or criticize your controlling authority figure or “You go straight to jail.”  So goes Ardith Keefs Monopoly Game.  She wins. You lose.  The  secret object of the cult leaders game is to control the little game piece as long as possible. If you “obey” (don’t question or criticize)  and let her have her way, she will make you  think you are winning,  but you will lose the True Game of Life in Christ Jesus, and have exchanged it for satan’s  lie!

If you are in a cult, some day you might just find that you were only a Game Piece on some Psychopathic Bully’s playing board.  Then you might take a look at the real Jesus. He’s nothing like them. His yoke is easy and His load is light.  He Loves you unconditionally. He loved you so much He was willing to die for you.  You are not an inanimate object to Him.  You are precious in His Sight!  He does not manipulate you and play games with your heart and soul.  He has nothing to prove, He already won! 

Ardith Keef often says, “You have Crossed The Line.”  I have yet to find it in the Bible. there is a “crossing over” from death to life, but it is about Jesus’ love, mercy, compasson, and about His shed Blood, not about “you.”   The Bible is all about Jesus.   Glory to His Name!    Ardith Keef’s Daily Devotional is always about  controlling “You” .  

I got a little chuckle out of the line, “Sing. Raise your hands in rejoicing.”   The Anchor Missionary Fellowship Church is so cold and solemn, and without  Holy Spirit Love,  if anyone raised their hands to worship the Lord freely they would be viewed as wierd, and “charismatic”  surely not at all spiritual. I can guarantee they wouldn’t be there long.  The Holy Spirit is quenched and restrained in the Anchor Church, there is no freedom to worship Him.   Once in a while people clap with a song if Ardith allows it.

Ardith Keef says to “you”, “The King of Kings has prevailed and is attending to your issues.”  It makes one wonder how  long she can continue controlling “you” with these little snippets of assorted spiritual stuff.  She was able to control myself for a long time. Glorifying His Name was important to me, and she always had all the spiritual answers to my “issues.”  It took a long time for me to realize that her words had no power except her own desire to control others.  Especially no Holy Spirit Power. 

She knows “about” the workings of the  church, say’s a lot of “good” things,  and for one who really desires to please the Lord , the deception is uncanny.  She always seems to have the right words to shut “you” up and keep “you” in line.  ”What is the important thing?” , she asks.  Keeping “you” under her control, is my response.

The old Hymn  ”Glory To His Name”  puts  the Truth of the matter in perspective, “Glory to His Name, Glory to His Name , There to my heart was the BLOOD applied, Glory to His Name!” 

This is about Gods authority, not Ardith’s.   Ardith Keef has no God given authority in His Church. His elders can only be married one time and she has been married 5 or six times.  Check the Word of God on this.  Whoever has questions, keep asking.  If you are concerned with the obvious things that are seriously  defective with the leadership of the Anchor Missionary Fellowship church, pursue it!  Dare to be a Daniel! Stand up for Jesus! 

The fruit of the Anchor missionary Fellowship church is bitter and foul. It is more and more obvious every day. 

My rebuttal to Ardith Keef is, “The issue is who are you?”  Ardith Keef thinks she is a trainer  and teacher of God’s young men  and she has said so,  so I would respond with her own words, “God’s man must be trained, by God, not you!”  

When I think of a Race today I can’t help thinking of the Olympics.  It is everyone for himself!  This is exactly what I have found with  the teachings of Ardith Keef.  They are designed for herself, to keep control of the runners , only to make people think she is oh! so concerned! about their race to Heaven and their undistracted run for the Streets of Gold!

In Ardith’s “race” you run around  her tiny  little box, she makes all the rules, you never win , and she always does as long as you let her control you.  You see, her race is for control of you!  

Can’t you just see Ardith Keef peering into your little box with the four corners, yourself running from corner to corner “obediently”,  and her flashing the facade of a fake smile , reassuring you excitedly, “Soldier, until we have no more breath, we can run!”

Yes, “Soldier” just keep running at Ardith Keef’s  command!  When you are exhausted , worn out from the running, serving, obeying of her and begin to ask a few questions, she’ll throw you away too as she has so many others because you are no longer an asset in her quest……. for power and control.  She never cared at all, it was always all about her!   It will hurt, but then you have a chance to really win the Gold!  The Lord Jesus Christ!  And friend, He’s worth it all!

Please bear with me this morning as I indulge myself in a little silliness. I have watched  several Star Trek episodes from Star Trek The Next Generation lately , and just couldn’t help recognizing some of the cultish behaviors of the clonish Borg  ”collective” as they “assimilate” ( Websters:bring into conformity, cause to resemble each other ) beings of every kind into their “hive.”

The leader I saw of the Borg is a  bizarre  controlling woman of sorts, robotic sounding , and called “The Borg Queen.”  The Borg according to the episodes of Star Trek,  believe in integrating all beings and cultures into their “collective”.  No one is allowed to have a mind of his or her own.  Everything done is for the “greater good.”

Then there is the lack of any emotions.  No feelings. No love.  No hope. No regrets. No pain. No fear, No sorrow for losses, and above all, NO CONSCIENCE!  Am I talking about the Anchor Missionary Fellowship Leadership or am I talking about the Borg?  There’s very little difference from the Borg  in Ardith’s teachings about feelings and emotions.  And today she calls this empty existance , “Life.”  

Yes,  Ardith’s twisted version of “Life” is as artificial as anything the writers can come up with for the Borg Queen!  Fortunately she only has a handful of followers, and is not as successful as the Borg Queen in “assimilating” people.  However, a handful of genuinely living  souls, certainly are intrinsically more precious and valuable to the True God than a  ”a hive” full of fabricated Borgs in a story,  even if their pretentious leader is a fabrications artist, and can counterfeit True Christianity, and feign imagined leadership with the best of them.

If one doesn’t like the Borg episodes, they can simply turn off the TV , remove the DVD etc.  If your family is caught in the cult called Anchor, assimilated  deeply into the group mentality of twisted spiritual concepts,  and your children and grandchildren  happen to be victims as well,  there is nothing one can  do except stand up and  speak out with the Truth.   The battle is very real and it is not with flesh and blood, but with the powers of darkness. 

Well , enough of my indulgences;  When I saw the Daily Devotional by Ardith Keef this morning all of her robotic sounding  lists of  ”You - were - designed’s”  made me think of the Star Trek Borg Queen.  One could very easily adapt much of what she writes to a prize-winning Star Trek episode!   She could have ended it with the popular Borg phrase, “Resistance is futile!” (It may seem futile to some, but not for God! He is still  the God of the impossible! He still answers prayer.)

It really would be comical if it wasn’t so serious.  I was reading through a Psych Forum on cults and a person called “Shrivers” wrote. “They prey on weaker people, force them to hand over their assets, their money, THEIR WIVES, THEIR KIDS, and in some cases their lives.” He gives the examples of the  “Branch Davidians and Jonestown.” 

Today, Ardith Keef.com  wants you to have the synthetic  ”life” she offers.  A “life” of hollow emptyness, devoid of  unconditional love for anyone,  life without any feeling.  For Ruth-Anne Dobson , this is a life of neglect and dishonor  of faithful,  loving , parents who don’t have the Anchor cult-group mentality,  a life seperated from your Christian family , a life seperated from a  Christian husband who loves you, and  precious step-children God gave you, as well as anything or anyone else Ardith Keef ever  decides  ”God” doesn’t want you to have in your “Life.”   This is not the life God offers His people.  It is a lie. It is heretical.  It does not line up with His Word by any means.  When God puts two people together in marriage, He doesn’t change His mind.  The source of these teachings is absolutely not the True, Almighty God.

Anyone who  truly Loves the Lord will not purposefully and knowingly give themselves over to someone elses control, no matter how wise , intelligent, and authoritative they  may appear to be.  Even if we are deceived, when the truth is brought to our attention we step away from what is false.  Check the fruit!  Examine the spirit !  

We  at Anchorabuse.org will do all we can to keep others free!   We pray for those in cults to find the True Jesus, in Whom the genuine  LIFE is found.   ” Know the TRUTH (Jesus Christ) and the Truth will set you free. When Christ sets you free, you are free indeed! ”     In Him was Life and His Life was the LIGHT of men.”   “He is the Way, the Truth, and the LIFE.” 

How do we fight against the powers of darkness?  ”And  they overcame him by the Blood of the Lamb and the Word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto death.”  Rev 12:11 

God’s nature is Love. God is Love. If anyone claims to be  growing more like Him all the time they would certainly be known for their love more and more as time went on. When that person was spoken of one would immediately think, “What a loving and kind person. What a giving , merciful and compassionate person!”

However, when one talks about love , but knows nothing of genuine loving  at all , they are only vague descriptions and are nothing more than empty words.  This person’s  mouth is a “Yawning grave” as Jesus said of the Pharisee’s.  Without true Holy Spirit Love,  their hollow attempts at  belching out the sounds of Love are merely ”the echos of a sounding gong” as Paul so aptly put it.  Genuine Love does not bounce around like an echo, off the walls and off the page, but it penetrates the heart and soul of a person, and that person is changed by it. 

Ardith’s words cannot penetrate the heart because they are merely human words without any Holy Spirit substance and have no power to change a person.  This is why you can be with her for 20 years and never progress beyond a minute understanding of the Love of God, you may desire to change,  in fact you go backwards instead of forward when it comes to love. This is why you can keep seeking  for more , and as she repeats her identical  mimicries of the same pretty words, and smooth sayings over and over again , you end up in the same corner of the same little box again and again listening to the same muffled imitations of the Truth and echos of imitations.   She speaks of change, but there is none because her words are only second-hand  echos of echos of echos……..without the Source of Love , Power, and Life,  Jesus Christ.

When someone teaches  not getting even, then takes another Christian to court it is hypocricy. When someone (even a Christian leader) refuses to sit down and be willing to look at his own behavior and answer questions and even criticism’s humbly, and would rather shun and abuse whole families than admit his or her own moral failure, their pride and self-preservation does not resemble Jesus Christ in the least. There is lot’s of fear here,  lot’s of pride, but no Holy Spirit Love.

A leader of Christians who isn’t humble enough to lower himself to lift up another  as Jesus did , knows nothing of Love.  Jesus said to go after the  one lost sheep. He didn’t say to abuse and shun it.  He didn’t give permission to break up families to protect yourselves, or to  covet (lust after) another mans family to replace the family you gave up.  There are no special rules for leaders that allow leaders special rights to lord it over Gods flock in order to enrich themselves for any reason. 

When you see a Church that has shrunk from scores to ten or twelve people , something is wrong.  A good , healthy church grows, increases and bears fruit, like a good healthy tree does.  Brothers and sisters, look at the fruit. Love is the greatest of fruit!  Where there is Love people are drawn.  The Anchor Church is cold and dark like a tomb.  “It is full of dead men’s bones”, as Jesus said. There is no life there.  It has only one person’s likeness and personality ,and that person is not Jesus. The voices of Love echo around the corners of the church, and  some love may be found in a few hearts, but as time goes on and the echo’s grow quiet, love grows more distant as God turns His head away from their sinful abuses, and the idolatry of following after one persons empty discriptions of love instead of Love Personified , Jesus Christ………

May He shake them hard  and wake them up!  May He break through the enemy’s stronghold and pull down the high places of idolatry, pride and arrogance in the leadership of the Anchor Missionary Fellowship Church!  No matter how faint the last traces of love become , our God is the God of the impossible!  He is still Able to  blow on the embers and revive them.  Faith, Hope and Love abide, but the greatest of these is Love!   Lord Jesus, may Your Love reach Your people and turn them around!  May You alone be Glorified!

When I was a new Christian back in 1981, there was a closeness that I actually felt to the Lord. I knew He was near. I recognized His presence all around me. I felt as if I had finally come alive and He was my closest friend and confidante.  

Of course I had just come out of the Jehovah’s Witnesses which had been my religion, my “family” my friends for a whole lifetime.  I lost all of that  but oh what I gained!  A living relationship with Jesus Christ!

The closeness with Him  didn’t fade either  for a number of years. I remember when all I had to do is get down on my knees and pray, and He would answer and turn me around if it was needed. When this happened I knew and felt that I was clean before Him.

I remember the first time it didn’t happen anymore.  It was while I was staying nights with Ardith Keef. After she,  and her present husband defrocked her then pastor husband.  It was when we as a church were going into the former Pastor’s home for every meeting whether his wife was there or not, shunning him in his own home. Our teacher, and our Pastor  had instantly  become “reprobate” in all of our eyes because of a  smooth sly word from the mouth of his wife spoken at the appropriate time to stab him like a Black Widow spider kills her prey.   Then we began praying for his death!  He lives healthy and happy today and is 78 years old!

It wasn’t long after this in 1994  that the new pastor and Ardith began finding “spiritual flaws” in his wife as well.  She began being shunned by the church also.  She was called possessed. She was  abused by the “new” Anchor Missionary Fellowship Church and the abuse continues.  The marriage broke up and within a year Bill and Ardith Keef married.  I supported them. Their approach was slippery, well thought out, and I was a pawn used to cover their tracks because I loved the Lord, I trusted Ardith, and believed her faith in God and her integrity toward his Kingdom was her first interest.

I stayed with her nights for nine months to protect the church from the “appearence of evil” because I knew she was in love with Bill Keef while they were both still married to other mates , I did it to protect her from her newly “reprobate” defrocked husband.   But I was dead wrong!   We all were wrong.  We sinned!   We stepped as far away from Him and His Kingdom as we could get. The whole church fell apart.  Bill Keef’s family was disintegrated and his children terribly damaged. 

I was no help to anyone because I was blinded by my trust in Ardith’s knowledge, and her appearence of wisdom about spiritual things.  I stood up for Ardith like a Bulldog!  This situation was nothing new for Ardith!   The same scenario had taken place before, only there were ten kids instead of four.  She mentioned it to me once , and I should have responded with abhorance and disgust!  I let her down and I was wrong!  I helped the whole church get into this mess!  It was sin.

While I was staying  with Ardith (protecting her) one night  I felt dirty.  I went home to pray and nothing happened. I didn’t feel clean. I knew it, recognized it and simply went on with business as usual.   My thoughts of protecting Ardith and the church drowned out any thoughts of needing to be cleansed from the unrighteousness we were engaging in.  My conscience was clouded and my spiritual  sight was affected.  I  sincerely went through the motions.  I  enjoyed being a “Christian” , loved serving  my Church ,I loved Ardith  and truly enjoyed working for her. . I even led a dozen people to Christ,  but I was miserable inside, troubled in my soul and spirit,  and  it simply got worse as the years went by.  I was dulled to hearing from God , but I loved to hear about Him ,and sing songs about Him, and He continued to be faithful to me,  There was some answered prayer. but not in the closeness, and the sense of cleansing I had experienced before.  

It wasn’t until the Lord in His mercy allowed the horrendous events that shook my world in 2006  that I woke up from my spiritual stupor.  Now my family is reaping what I have sown. but the Lord remains Faithful. The position I took of supporting Bill and Ardith Keef in the abuse of good people, and the breaking up of homes, has spread like a ”witch grass” weed to my own family.  In admitting the sin, there is freedom. In confessing the sin , and  with repentence there is forgiveness.  In going to the person to ask forgiveness there is fresh light and healing.   “The Blood of  Jesus cleanses us from all unrighteousness.”

Now even though our family is suffering the deep grief and painful  loss of our  beloved family member , and two of my grandchildren to a cult , I know I am clean.  The vilest of sinners can be forgiven.  Jesus Christ is once again my “first love.”   I am His, and He is mine.  I trust Him for it all.  I continue to pray for the people in the Anchor Church who have been deceived.  I pray for God’s best for them, and for their release from the power of the enemy , and their own sin.  I continue to pray for the breaking down of strongholds and the pulling down of the high places.  God is able, and He does answer prayer!

God had already distinguished Job as a righteous man long before the troubles came upon him.  He had already proved himself faithful in God’s eyes. God chose for him to be tempted , tested and tried beyond anything most of us can imagine.  But in the end when Job prayed for his friends, everything turned around  and Job’s life went on.  Job was abundantly blessed, having ten more children, and living one hundred and forty more years.

We don’t know how long Job suffered, but we know he stood the test in God’s eyes even if in man’s eyes he  appeared to be angry, and impatient.

Let’s change the story a little. Suppose Job had broken up his family for another woman long before.  Suppose the “other woman ” had broken up other families before his.  Suppose he called his first  wife “possessed”, “spider”,  and suppose his children were estranged from him, because of the abuse that together Job and his new wife had inflicted upon them.   Do you think God would have used him the way He did? 

Job’s wife certainly wasn’t the believer he was. We need to remember that she suffered also the loss of everything, even all of her children.  She said to him in  his sufferings, “Dost thou still retain thine integrity? Curse God and die.” It sounds as if she had a difficult personality for Job to deal with. But there is nothing to indicate that he ever left her, divorced her , or remarried again.  This is the kind of man Job was. He was a faithful man. A faithful man is faithful in all his ways. 

What if Job had “coveted” another  mans wife and children and seperated the man’s family?  What if Job had deeply wounded  two young boys ages 12 and 4 by keeping their brothers away from them ?   Would Job have been God’s man then? 

What if Job had caused pain and sorrow for family after family?   Destroying relationships between parents and children and  breaking up other men’s  homes? 

A lot of our pain we bring upon ourselves by our actions.  Sometimes it has little  to do with God. When cult leaders  are miserable because their covetousness, greed, and hunger for power has gotten them into a difficult corner, they bring out lot’s of soothing words about God,  as if they really cared about such things as Mercy, Love, Kindness, Compassion. They want these things for themselves, but do not lift a finger to extend these to others whom they have harmed and continue to harm. They are cruel, self-centered, harsh, and nothing like God.  They are nothing like Job either ,and they never have been. (Please see comment below)
