Today’s Daily Devotional is written by someone who knows nothing about forgiveness. She includes a lot of pretty Bible words and some interesting thoughts about the subject, but a person who has for years cut off and cast out people ,in the same manner that one throws away old used MacDonald cartons , knows nothing of forgiveness. To forgive according to Websters is to “Grant free pardon.” It is not cutting people off and getting free of them.
You only truly know about forgiveness if you have granted free pardon to someone for a grievious sin they have committed against you. It is easy to take the pardon (forgiveness) of another for granted when we have sinned against them, if we have never stooped to forgive others. In our humanity we justify our behavior even if we know it’s wrong. “It was wrong but……..”, we say. Jesus forgave us for all our vile acts , but unless we have truly forgiven another of some major offence we can’t begin to know the depth of humility, love, and condescension involved in forgiveness.
I have two sad young grandsons ages 4 and 12 who haven’t seen their brother for 9 months. Isaac is two years old. He is only six miles away living at the cult house with his mother, Ardith and Bill Keef. What have these boys done so evil that they are not allowed to even see their brother? Or their new baby brother? Is it because they are part of our family? Whatever it is, where is the “forgiveness” for them? Every time I see the 4 year old he lovingly misses and longs to see his little brother, and his step-mom. There is absolutely no need for this kind of abuse of children. It is not Christian behavior at all. It is a reflection of the teachings of demons and closely resembles the sadistic sacrifice of children to Baal in ancient Bible times, although much more covert , subtle, and hidden.
Even if one didn’t agree with adults a truly loving , compassionate ,forgiving person would take care of these basic needs of children, unless they knew nothing of Love, nothing of Jesus, nothing of forgiveness. He who said, “Let the little children come to me” , is surely dishonored, and disgusted by this treatment of children by people who call upon His name and claim to represent Him.
Todays Daily Devotional is simply another case of “Do as I say, not as I do.”
Moral of the story: A wise person doesn’t talk about forgiveness when they have scores of hurting people, whole families, even small children whom they have divided, cast out, cut off, shunned, slandered, and abused and without repentence.
