My son in law and I both share a special love for this old Hymn:
I heard an old old story, How a savior came from Glory, How He gave His life on Calvary to save a wretch like me, I heard about His groaning , of His precious blood’s atoning, and I repented of my sin , and won the victory! What glorious words! What a Savior! What a Friend!
It is all about Jesus, isn’t it? He did it all! He paid it all! His Love is the greatest, the most far reaching, the most forgiving, the most unconditional! What an awesome Lord we serve!
I have often thought of the verse Ardith uses today , “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builder builds in vain.” Especially since I have found out the depth of the problems in the Anchor church/cult. We all worked so hard. Almost everything were projects Ardith begun, but all our hard work usually ended up in a pile of confusing nonsence.
Then we were given a church building in 2002. Two months later a family was torn up when Ardith Keef interfered with a wedding of a young girl at the church. Another mother was dishonored, and her wishes and her own God given parental inheritence thrown by the wayside, as she was forced to comply with Ardith Keef’s demands.
There was a lot of work on the church building, from day 1, but the work was in vain because the church building was used for dishonorable purposes. There was never any freedom there. It was never a haven for the weak, the sick, the needy, the helpless, the hurting. It was a place domineered by Ardith Keef , where everything from the singing to who could bring bread to share ,was dictated by her. She controlled everyone from the Pastor and Elders to the young and older children who were there with their parents and grandparents.
There could still be a victory today for the Anchor Missionary Fellowship Church if the leadership would look at the terrible fruit of their works, turn from sin and repent. If they would admit their deception and their false way; If they would realize their abuses of families, the breaking up of homes, children divided from parents and siblings, churches destroyed, good people being slandered and shunned, parents and grandparents being dishonored, the taking of Christian brethren to court rather than sitting down and reasoning together . If Ardith and Bill Keef could have their eyes opened ,and see that she has become a “divorce machine” , fitting in with the schemes and plots of the enemy, there could be a great victory. But under their deception they believe as she says today, “Yes, you have worked hard. You have prayed hard. You have pounded the pavement and you are seeing the fruit.” Yes the fruit is plainly evident for all who are not blind, and it is vile, gross, disgusting fruit!
Ardith Keef relates the words of a note to her from Elisabeth Elliot: “accolades and false accusation should both be received in the same manner……” In response I can only say, Ardith is no Elisabeth Elliot, who has also had 3 Christian husbands and was true to all three until death! Ardith’s desire to be like Elisabeth is commendable, but her grandiose idea that Ms Elliot was her close friend is not backed up by Elisabeth’s husband. In fact when responding to someone who asked this of him, they found he does not stand behind Ardith at all, and says some of her teachings are “strange.” Also, when one is deceived they might just think the painful truth coming from a friend who loves them, is a false accusation. Humility would break through the lies of the enemy and lift the veil.
Ardith’s last line today is “Freedom in Christ means, His is the Victory.” My response to this is that these words of Ardith Keef reveal that she has no idea or understanding of what Freedom in Christ even is. She is not free, neither are those who follow her. She is under law and puts all her followers under law as well. She is under a works doctrine , and demands and drives her followers to work. ”they have worked hard but in vain do they do it because they obey the doctrines of men.”
Christians are no longer under a yoke of slavery, and we are told not to come under a yoke of slavery again because Jesus has set us free. His yoke is easy and His load is light and easy to be borne! In Him we are free to live , and move, and have our being. It is not bondage to someones law. We do whatever He calls us to because of the great Love He has extended to us! We love Him and others because He first loved us!He has poured out HIs own love into our hearts, and it spills out upon others around us!
We still pray for a great Victory in Jesus and that the Lord God will open the eyes of the Anchor Church leaders. That the enemy’s plans and schemes for them and by them will come to nothing. There is only one way to victory for Anchor, and it will come through repentence, and admission of wrongdoing toward the Lord’s people. It will come through humility and admitting that yes even the leaders of the Anchor Missionary Fellowship can be deceived. But the end result would be a glorious victory!
