Daily Deprogramming

My husband , Don is a man of few words. When he writes a blog for this web-site he often ends it with, “Think about it.”   However, whichever  way you put it, I hope my blog will cause someone to think about it or “Meditate” today upon the  way cult leaders twist the truth into their doctrines to bait and capture souls. Perhaps if someone is in an abusive church/cult they will recognize some of the symptoms and be able to get away, knowing the Lord will still love them.

Today I was shocked by a few of the statements Ardith makes in her Daily Devotional.  First she asks, “Are you aware of your thoughts?” “Or are you taken by them?” “Do you review and review the issues?”  These are quite normal, but listen to this one, “Do you entertain fantasy conversations?” “Do you ever find yourself talking aloud to someone who is not present?” “Of course you do!  All experience this.  The important thing is to recognize what is really happening. Soldier you must make sure you are not being distracted.  You may not shadow box or fight a paper soldier.”

I’m shocked because Ardith Keef would never in the past have even inferred that  it was ok to have fantasy conversations with someone who wasn’t there, whether or not others do it. Now  i’s simply that everybody does it.  How could a person hold a conversation with someone who is not there, aloud ,without being distracted?  How is it any different to shadow box a paper soldier then  talking  to  someone who isn’t there?  This is bizzare!  I am truly stunned at the change in her stance!

Next she holds out her golden carrot,  in true cult fashion  by baiting the subject with a little truth, “The enemy is real , but he projects illusion that are holograms and he deals in the dark realm of  lies.  From the Word of God we know that he is the father of lies.”

Here comes the unreachable  golden carrot……”Soldier, this is not a difficult matter.  Reality is what lies beyond.”  “Reality is that which is promised.”   Much like holding out the golden ring on a carousel ride…… Then a little truth again to keep the victim hooked, “Reality is that which glorifies the Lord.”   Classic Cult tactics!

I’m a bit reassured that she is still the same when it comes to others being “off.”   Four times she says “You are off.” “You are off.”  “You are off.”  “You are off.”  Sounds like some kind of mantra, doesn’t it?   Perhaps she’d rather be saying as a  true Jezebel  authority counterpart, “Off” with their heads!”

Her last “You are off” is followed by the  fear inducing statement, “and You are no doubt guilty of dividing the body of Christ.”   Isn’t it interesting that there is no  serious, or loving counsel concerning the gravity of causing divisions in the church , and the  serious need to make it right with God?  After all, dividing the brethren is one of the seven things the Lord hates!  Proverbs 6:19  No, instead, in order  to promote her own  cultish agenda, she instructs her followers to “Buck up.”  When someone has sinned  so grievously and divided the brethren, they need to kneel down and ask forgiveness ,  then perhaps they could “buck up” , or not.

Today I am  meditating, thanking the Lord for the sight He has given to spot cultish tactics and tendencies. It is hard to  believe I was totally  taken in for so long by a mixture of lies and truth, and by satans “holograms and illusions.”   My heart is still for the Anchor Church and it’s leaders, that they might also see the Truth. I hold no grudges and have forgiven them from the start.  If the Lord could rescue myself from deception, he can rescue anyone.

Anyone can be deceived, but not everyone is willing to accept that  truth about themselves. When my eyes began to open to the wiles of the enemy there at Anchor , I  asked the Lord if I could please be the one to stand in for them.  He has allowed me to do just that.  As long as He allows, I will be knocking on the doors of Heaven,  speaking and writing  out the Truth,  and  praying for freedom  and a mighty rescue for my friends at the Anchor Missionary Fellowship Church.  The God of all Truth, is still able to deliver  them from satans lies and deceptions.  The question remains, will they admit they have been deceived and allow Him to liberate them?
